Hello, welcome to Aesop.

Aesop Wines is a boutique artisan producer of Rosé, Pinot Noir, and Grenache Noir located in Napa, California. We are seeking an experienced and motivated independent sales representative to manage and implement sales strategies, covering wholesale and distribution channels and direct to consumer sales.

The independent sales representative will be responsible for managing all aspects of wholesale sales and distribution networks for Northern California. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for wine and the ability to work collaboratively as a part of close-knit team. You must be self-motivated and enjoy working with the public and providing exceptional customer service. The position is commission only and will require travel. 


What you’ll do

Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals

Continually develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor partners

Identify and secure new independent, regional accounts

Formulate new ideas to generate additional direct to consumer revenue

Follow up on sales leads gathered through events, direct contacts, and other team members

Regularly analyze sales to seek new opportunities or develop solutions

Work with A/R to manage accounts receivable for each distributor and account

Complete monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on sales activities


What you’ll bring

5+ years wine industry related sales and marketing experience

Thorough knowledge of the wine industry, sales and market trends, viticulture and wine making practices

Proven track record of successful sales

Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel at distribution and wholesale account partners

Excellent written and verbal communications skills including public speaking and negotiating

Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills

Effective at representing a luxury brand

Ability to lift 40 pounds

Clean driving record
